HI! Thanks for your work and for the post... just some thoughts... recently there was a lot of discussion about GOF patterns and different criticisms came up: another post that it uses a different point of view is https://www.yegor256.com/2016/02/03/design-patterns-and-anti-patterns.html ... but more are all around since Scala and now in presence of structural pattern matching in Java... in fact they are not the only ones and the community of expert of this theme continues to operate: https://hillside.net/patterns/ ... but how many work on new patterns today? If I had to think of a (theoretically) concrete use of abstract factory, I met the variations on the factories here: https://www.amazon.com/SanFrancisco-TM-Design-Patterns-Blueprints/dp/0201616440 ... This also leads us to a further reflection: how has it evolved and what does it mean today, even in the presence of the mix with functional programming, to create objects?
Have a Nice Day! Peace!
